Difference between propolis and ribwort for cough and flu
 
Propolis is most effective early in flu or viral infections, when pathogen load is high. It is especially useful when cough is secondary to infection, sore throat, or immune suppression, rather than airway irritation alone.
Limitations:
Less effective as a demulcent; does not directly soothe dry or spasmodic cough.
Contraindicated in individuals with bee product allergies & asthma.
Not suitable for longer-term use
 
Ribwort is particularly effective for persistent, dry, irritating, or post-viral coughs, as well as cough associated with bronchitis or airway inflammation.

Suggested use:
Teens & Adults
As a dietary supplement, take 2–4 mL (1 mL = 20 drops) diluted in a small amount of water, three (3) times daily, preferably between meals.
Recommended weekly intake: 20–40 mL
 
Children 3–6 Years
Begin with 1–2 drops diluted in half a cup of water, three (3) times daily between meals. Increase gradually to 5–10 drops as needed.
Recommended weekly intake: 3–6 mL
 
Children 7–12 Years
Take 10–20 drops (1 mL = 20 drops) diluted in a small amount of water, three (3) times daily between meals.
Recommended weekly intake: 6–12 mL
 
Always begin with a lower dose when first introducing the herb.
