Today I wanna talk about caffeine affecting how deep your sleep could go. So many people feel fatigue even after 8 hrs of sleep.
You may wanna look into cutting down caffeine and see if it helps.
This client came to @bodyinc last year. Her sleep was always 4-5hrs after she gave birth to her child in 2013, finding it difficult to go back to sleep. She did IVF for 4 yrs from 2009 -2013, then went for IVF again in 2014 to try for 2nd child but she gave up due to very bad hives on tummy area where injection was administered. She tried everything she could, TCM Med, went SGH to check what was wrong, melatonin etc all didn’t work. Usually she would wake up energetic but after lunch she would doze off.
After last yr's detox treatment with Body Inc., she started sweating (usually she didn’t) after exercise. She felt good. She got a Fitbit to track her sleep. She found that after avoiding caffeine, it really helped her go into deep sleep. She used to drink green tea in the morning and coffee in the day. With the tracker it helped her understand her body better. She could have deep sleep from 10pm to 5am.
If you have insomnia problems, first see if it is due to emotional stress that you should tackle.
Any physiological help like diet and exercise also can aid in better quality sleep. Food is medicine, and remember caffeine is not a food, it is a drug.
